Canadian Nightcrawlers

Canadian Nightcrawlers (aka Lumbricus terrestris)  is the large soil worm you may find in your yard if you live up north. If you live down south, these are the refrigerated nightcrawlers you see at the baitshop. They are very large and are great for fishing. They are also great to release into your yard or garden (if you live up north). Unlike the composting worms, these worms prefer to be in the soil. They will burrow around your yard, loosening your soil and eating the thatch that prevents lawns from growing well. Not a good choice for composting, but an excellent worm for fishing or to release into your yard.

Description: These worms are great for fishing. They are the largest worm we sell, bigger than both the European and African nightcrawlers. These are the same worms you may buy at the bait shop. These are large worms, the perfect bait for that trophy fish. They are typically 5+ inches long and each is thicker than a pencil.

These worms should be kept REFRIGERATED!
